Civil Air Patrol searchers found the body of a missing Homer snowmachiner late Friday,
according to the Alaska State Troopers.
Bryan Farrow, 47, was last seen around noon on April 3, leaving a home near a trailhead
on Greer Road in Homer, troopers said. He planned to ride his 1989 Yamaha Phazer
about 20 miles to a friend's house on Caribou Lake, northeast of Homer.
A neighbor reported him missing on April 7.
His body was found about 1.5 miles west of Caribou Lake, troopers said. There were
no signs of foul play. He was an experienced outdoorsman and was dressed for the
weather. It was not immediately known what caused his death, according to troopers
spokeswoman Megan Peters.
Farrow's body was recovered late Friday with a helicopter, she said.
His snowmachine has not been found, but searchers will continue to look for it when
weather conditions improve, troopers said.
